I am interested in feedback from those that have installed atlas scale couplers on these cars. Like most i prefer kadees, i need to find out if Mario has a mount pad . What min curves do you have? Any advice is appreciated .

I found away to install half of a plastic Kade gearbox into the Atlas truck mounted coupler bar. I simply removed the claw coupler assembly, installed the Kadee plastic gearbox, and then adjusted the Atlas coupler arm a bit further back in order to close couple the car.
Sorry but, I don't do photographs anymore.
Hot Water's method works like a charm. A guy in our Club did a 13-car Atlas CZ train as HW discribed. He set the adjustment bar to notch 7 and his train runs like a Swiss watch.
Thanks! I should have my set by end of the week and I will give this method a try. Honestly, I think I will better understand this installation when I have the parts in my hands.
T4TT,
Here are picks of what I did. It works very well. I removed the adjustable bar and directly bolted metal Kadees to the tang.
Simple and reliable. One can use Locktite blue on the bolts to insure nothing backs off. It is easy.
First, I was gonna body mount them and then went this way. My min. radius is 60 inches, Min. turnout 7.5. But because it is tang mounted one can adjust to smaller radius and Hotwater said.
Good luck.
