Atlas Turntable 6999 - engine shorts crossing from between turntable and mainline

Clearly, you have the TT track phased incorrectly with the mainline power.  I suspect you need to swap the feeds to the TT bridge power.

@gunrunnerjohn Thank you! That was it. I know enough about electricity to be dangerous. Question, in the below instructions, I originally connected my + and common as the shown. Why would it be backwards? On my power bus, positive is connected to the center rail.

If that worked and you think it's wrong, obviously the phasing of the other track is backwards.  Remember, the phasing can be affected by simply turning the wall plug around on older PW transformers.  If it's all from one transformer, I suspect the mainline track connections are reversed from what you think they are.

I might be mistaken, but wasn’t there an issue where the manual graphic was backwards? Here is a thread mentioning that the graphic was printed backwards on some turntables

Thanks @Keith Crook 020419! I thought I was going nutz . I am pretty sure that the instructions are still not updated. Figure 4 refers to a screw to remove the motor cover, however no such screw exists.

I am kind of surprised that the instructions don't have a revision number of print date.

The other issue is, the U post is only outside rail on multi-output PW transformers, for single output transformers, U is typically the center rail.  FWIW, there are instructions floating around for various single output transformers that incorrectly show U going to the outside rail, that's wrong.
