I love that 7UP semi.
Hey, Lee, it looks like that guy about to hop in the UP truck just walked over from my Sunoco truck!

Hi guys...I can see by your postings over the last several days I've missed quite a lot...nothing new on my layout at the moment. We had a death in the family a couple of weeks ago and just haven't had time to contribute here.
Lee, great layout scene with the UP rig and thanks for posting the DD direct e-mail. I received the same one. If I ever feel flushed with cash (not likely), I may purchase one of the "Olds" units. I'm partial to the aqua and white two-tone.
Ted, you've had some great cars in the family back in the early days
Mike, great scene showing the street car show rally with you newly painted figures...you are definitely a skilled painter! You're inspiring me to give the painting process a second try...
Artie, I love that "Sunoco" blue tanker...nice job on it...
Thanks, Paul. Sorry about your family’s loss. I’m sure we’ll see some of new vehicles show up on here!

You did a GREAT job on the tank truck! Also, what did you use to make the sidewalk in front of the diner? Is that sheet cork?
Artie:
Thanks for your reply. Your scenery is great! I like the look of your side walks. I am in the process re-doing my city scene and need some side walk ideas. I plan to use roofing tiles as my roads.

Paul. Sorry for your loss and your family is in my prayers. Thanks for the complement on the layout. I’m like you I just can force my finger to press the buy it button on that green olds.

Yes there has been rumors around the Dough Hill Layout for years that Trucker Joe has a long lost brother you know like Speed Racer did lol
Unbeknownst to the milkman picking up a load in Lionelville, a guy named Richard Kimble is looking for him. (Hey, I was a film archivist, okay?!).

Couple cool buys/finds over the last 4 weeks I’ve been meaning to post but haven’t gotten around to it. So here we go!
First, I had gone through a Land River Phase- BIG TIME, in April. Mainly ended up focusing in on Corgis from the 60s. Really wanted a 1/43-1/50 Scale Defender But has a tough time landing one.
Bought a lot on eBay with 5 60s/70s Corgis. Three are in the pics below:
green Series 1 with whiz wheels. Also new is the Mustang convertible by New Ray
found these and a red 58 Pontiac Bonneville at my pop’s over Easter. Love the billboards and facts that come with them!
opened up the Pontiac first- also got wheels on my Dinky Horsebox van!
opened up the 55 Chevy last week. Holding off on the other two until needed
And Of course some new military vehicles too! UN truck by Russian manufacturer, crossing the intersection is a Dinky 3 ton army wagon(big improvement over the 623 army wagon for fitting troops) with some of the n, behind that is a Corgi US army Land Rover
UN truck with top on. Also picked up the Bedford O Army Stores truck from the Corgi D-day 40th anniversary set
Dinky supertoys 10 ton army in the middle- came with the tin cover and I have figures with pegs tha can fit in the holes
Last shot. Features some of the new vehicles from above as well as a white 57 Ford Thunderbird by Ertl (from a porcelain diorama set) and a Solido “Hi Fi” navy 190 Mercedes pulling into the circus pre-show

Sorry for the blurry pictures, I copy the images from one of the videos on my YouTube channel
The green pickup is from Kinsmart, and the other two are from Ertl.
They are all three pull-back motors.
I put a old battery powered christmas light strand in the chiefs car to work in the light bar.
