Tim:

Thanks for asking.  This bridge is actually curved and custom built to match the grade on my layout on the connecting track from the top loop to the bottom loop.

It is carved out of foam and hand painted, first with a primer and then finished in oil paint.  I had originally intended to put some buildings in front of it, but the bridge is so nice that I decided to leave the space open.

The great thing about it is that this was custom built and the designer is an artisan and so easy to work with.  With just a few pictures and measurement he produced an work of art.  I had input all the way along the process.  By the way, I would be happy to share the contact information in case anyone else wants a bridge!

This week I had another bridge come.  That bridge was made out of plaster from someone who sells on ebay.  I can tell you that there is absolutely no comparison between the curved arch bridge and the plaster cast bridge.  It took the plaster bridge months and months to arrive.  It is super heavy, and does not look nearly as good.  The painting wasn't as good.  Underneath the arches wasn't finished.  The curved foam bridge, however, is super light and was a breeze to install.  And the bottom of the arches was carved and finished.  No corner cutting on this thing.  It's awesome.  I will be posting some new pictures and videos soon so keep watching.
