You are close to my heart when I think about riding the Tri-Plex, 6000 series, D type BMT cars from Brighton Beach or Sheepshead Bay Road Stations to 57th St. Station during the 50s and 60s. In 2002 and 2004 I rode these cars into Brighton Beach Station when Bill Wall and company ran these trips for funding raising purposes. Seeing the 9 car train sitting on the express track it could be been just like the 50's. In 1954 I got to operate a Brighton Express train with a little help from the motorman from Prospect Park Station to Newkirk Av. at age 9. I hope to travel to Coney Island and take in some rides at the new Luna Park this Spring.
