Hello All,

Well, my backdrop arrived and I somehow found the courage to go ahead and install it, thanks to the great advise of forum members "laidoffsick" and Rich. I used the double sided carpet tape which allowed me to gentley place the backdrop over the tape and to back track if needed without any tearing. Once set I went over and firmly attached it to the tape. I set the sides and allowed the rest to drape down.

I love my backdrop. Much gratitude to all for the help!

Train on!

Thank you all for the nice comments.

The vendor is Backdrop Warehouse @ backdrop warehouse.com. I placed Masonite over the area to be covered and taped the seams.

Down the line I plan to add three other backdrops and will certainly use this vendor. Their webpage can be confusing and overwhelming but they offer a great range of scenes.

Beautiful backdrop. Good job on your installation. It's an accomplishment to get this vendor to sell a backdrop.

Many of us have unsuccessfully attempted to buy backdrops from him in the past. I found beautiful Skyline Drive images, but couldn't figure out the pricing or how to order. When I called, he made insulting comments about my not being smart enough to figure out his spectacular website. Then he hung up on me. His website appears unchanged from my last visit. I am also somewhat amazed that he is still in business.

Gilly: Boy, I do agree with you. Backdrop Warehouse was not easy to deal with. I found their webpage overwhelming and confusing. The two men I dealt with were rather "crusty" with me and it was a little like pulling teeth getting the info I wanted.

The main reason I pursued working with them is that the picture I chose was taken from the town my grandmother was born and raised and where she met my grandfather, who my son is named after (Leadville, Colorado).

I think they would do well to hire a friendly knowledgeable salesperson. That being said, their final product was excellent and I'm excited to have it!

Lee: your painting is exceptional, did you do that yourself? I which I had your level of artistic talent and imagination. Your posts are always fun to follow.

Happy, healthy New Year to all!
