I was having the dickens of a time trying to get a good signal om my new 2 loop layout approx 8 X 14 ft.

There was a section that would not give better than 2 or 3. A friend, Rod Stewart came over and we fiddled with all the connections for a couple of hours.   He suggested that a unhook the Z1000 controllers and plug the 100 W bricks directly to fixed ! & 2 inpouts on the TIU. Luckily I had 2 MTH TIU/Barrel Jack adapter cables.

All of a sudden my track signal jumped to 10 on every part of the layout.  I guess the DCS track Signal does not like the Controllers breaking up the sine wave.   Barry's book was right.

Thank you Rod and Barry.

Now when my repaired PS 3 engine gets back from MTH I'll have all 3 engines running under full DCS Control.

Guess it pays to read the book huh?

Larry,

When helping new runners get started in DCS the very 1st thing I advise them is to read the DCS Companion and follow what Barry has written, there is so much fantastic building and running info in the book that coupled with the DCS Video it covers almost every thing required.  If you have not read the book take time and do it, you will learn things you never dreamed of.
