I have a Lionel Post war classics barrel loader. It is screwed down to the underlying plywood. It vibrates a lot but the barrels don't move on the ramp. What am I doing wrong?

Loosen the screws, you may have it too tight.

Yes, indeed. You need to back off the screws and continually test the loader as you do this so you can hit the sweet spot of correct operation.
I know my screws are no where near screwed all the way down; in fact, I'd guess they are only a few turns into the plywood surface.
After playing around with this my barrel loader has worked perfectly for years.
