Exactly 3 years apart. Photo 1 is of the first day that the sections were put into the room and bolted together and a little track had been laid.

I love attic layouts. And I really like those floor lamps with the Mogul bulbs.
Nice!
"It's never finished", before and after is every day
My second childhood began here crawling around with channel locks because I was injured and bored stiff. I couldn't even push tubular track together again yet
Then I began pulling the Looney Tunes space cars with this dockside
I needed a tad more.... somethink like an earth shattering kaboom.
FRED....flying red emitting device.
I ended up on a new base here.....
and the old table is here..
The "convertable" micro workbench (0-20-ish) changes often
Actually , this predates the 30x30" table. I had to get off the floor and begin to walk again (injury)
Years later, no plan in mind, just doing whatever struck me whenever I got an urge. Even accessories are pretty much either made or whatever came my way..mostly dirt cheap and broken; I'm too impatient and cheap to collect properly, .....and I play too hard
Trains, power, and track aside, I have maybe $150 dollars total wrapped up in bench, accessories, scenery, lighting included. ($5 each, Flagman shack (no roof), culvert loader(no roof, bad repairs), and AF talking station/timer (no roof, no gable, good mech, now a factory) )
...Making roofs is very fun for me. Odd, but it is.
a few months ago...
Now
we know what these look like before...
arg....focus is off .,...the roof is green/grey slats of balsa
There are now 18 buttons and switches to operate (a few are out of sight)

Amazing Frank, you didn't just take it to the next level, I'd say you jumped quite a few levels! Absolutely great looking!
That's very nice to hear from you, GEOPEG, Thanks very much.

Interesting subject. Ill start at the beginning where I gutted the bathroom ( you can see where the wall used to meet the ceiling) and spiffed up the room. Then it was on to FUN! Been sitting on one little piece of real estate left for some time now that I'm playing with now. Frank, that is really fascinating to see how you transformed your original build. Too cool.

Frank the evolution your layout gives me hope that one day I can have a dream layout too. That and some serious negotiation with the CEO

I've been working on the layout for several years but in the last two years it has seen more transformation on the tabletop than ever before. Here are some photos of it, none of which is complete but you get an idea of where I am going with it.
Very, very nice Joe !!!
Thanks Brian
PPPHSC I would have never thought both were the same building. Good vision and execution.
