It is so confusing reading about power supplies - I want to run two separate loops with two separate lionel f3 postwar celebration units.     I have one command trainmaster tmcc with one remote.

Do I need two of the power blocks or can it be shared?

Do I need a fuse that will block any shorts from hurting the trains?

Is this the best way Lionel 6-22983: 180 Watt POWERHOUSE Power Supply to power both tracks?

Thanks for any suggestions.

There are several options available.  In a similar setup I use one GW-180’s for each loop.  This provides plenty of power for future expansion.  The circuit breakers are fast acting and I don’t use additional breakers.  I have never had a problem with this setup in 15 years of running trains.  The GW-180 may not be the least expensive option, but to me it was worth the investment.
