I am building large 3-Rail layout with Gargrave Phantom track with main line, classification yard and stub end passemger depot representing Polk Street(Dearborn) Station. Seeking sources for best pricing on Ross and Gargrave switches, using currently Gargrave 0-100 LH & RH and Ross 11 degree wyes on mainline and passing track, considering other switches geometry for classification, trying to minimize working surface areas on layout.

I have ordered Gargraves from my local hobby shop in the past, if you place an order for over $500.00 you will get a slight price adjustment or discount. Also the hobby shop owner said he waits until he gets a total order for over $500.00 before he orders stuff from Gargraves. This was about five years ago, so maybe the discount is there, not sure.

Also found out that in the past certain companies won't sell to a hobby shop unless they placed a minimum order of $5000.00. You got what new items they shipped to you, no choice of items.

I am in the process of building a 3 level layout 10 x 40.  Using Gargraves sectional and flex tracks with Ross switches.  I have purchased Gargraves from Just Trains of Delaware  http://www.justrains.com/.   Ross switches purchased from JD Trains http://www.jdstrains.com/,  CT Trains http://www.cttrains.com/ross1....er%20Line%20Switches  and Cactoctin Mountain trains http://www.cmtrains.com/productsandservices.html.  Plus Dave Mercer

Good luck

I have two Ross switches including motors and controllers that I'd like to sell at this time.

The first is an 054/072 LH curve and the second is an 054 RH. Please make a reasonable offer and they are yours.  I think that the two switches originally cost something like

$150-$160  They are mounted on wood so as to mate with tubular track.  I can send photos.

Thanks. Lew Schneider

I needed one Ross switch for my layout, and refused to pay $14.00 shipping from Ross for 1-4 switches.  Instead I ordered one switch from Chicagoland Hobby and shipping was only $5.70.  I got it quickly, too. They're my new source for Ross switches.  It looks like 4 switches would be $6.15 for shipping...

Make sure you consider shipping charges as part of your total "best pricing" cost.
