Actually Jim, Bluetooth was a later addition to LC+. The first few years of the line, they only had the cheesy dedicated remote. I have three of those early units, but I wish they had Bluetooth. As far as wiring goes, it's just a straight 18V to the rails, same as TMCC / Legacy without the signal.
Most wire is fine.
That was some sarcasm on the quality of overseas products we get vs whats promised.
... but yea, some care is needed. There is "cheap" and just plain unsuitable wire good for only certain applications. Especially with advances in coating strands to cut costs , etc.,(theres that skin factor again 
) exact use could likely become more prevalent in the near future during a purchase (imo).
Are you old enough to recall the drop in lumber and hardware quality after most of the better, smaller, hardware stores and lumber yards got crushed by the big box stores.
Crap... I've bought HD screws that were a pot metal brittle enough to break off in balsa. I worry about everything nowdays
