big challenges

While I do not share your biggest challenges, I can understand where you are coming from. My issues with getting up and down from the floor comes from being 69 and having had two full knee replacements. Actually, getting down is fairly easy, it’s the getting up that is an adventure. Before I built my layout (and found this forum), I used to set up track on the dining room floor and used one of my venerable Post-War ZW’s for power. I managed to fry a TMCC board. One of the OGR Backshop videos showed me how to add fast acting circuit breakers to protect my engines, and it has saved me from numerous disasters, so adding some sort of protection for your engines is very important. Sooooo… back in December of 2022, I purchased a small Lionel CW-80 transformer (1908080) for a Christmas project that never happened, so it has been sitting on a shelf gathering dust ever since. According to Lionel’s website for the CW-80, it is good for all forms of LionChief engines and it has built in circuit protection. So, if you can use it, I’d be glad to send it to you - my email is in my forum profile, so just send me an address to ship it to.

thans for the offer i'm currently trying to convince my godparents to let me get it. plus i need to figure out how to convince my godparents to let me get a 726 berkshire for my Norfolk Southern #600 project and the Batman tier 4 lionchief engine- the last 2 engines i need. my godmother says i have enough trains how can i convince her otherwise. i don't want her to get mad but i need those 2 engines. what should i do?

Well, I can’t answer for the trains, but the transformer is free if you’d like it.
