I recognize the mountain and some of the buildings from the "Smith" Polar Express design. is this a new customer design or for a holiday display?
Rock 'n' Roll helps with my work, too!
What material did you all use for the Snow? Would love to build a Tunnel with that much Snow on it.
Thanks

This is a commercial layout designed exclusively for our customer that the Traingineers will be installing in uptown, Charlotte, NC - 300 South Tryon ** Opening for the 2019 Holiday Season **

We carve the mountains by hand and use a product called Trymer 2000 - the paint we use is Liquitex Titanium White
Now that is some snowy mountains Christmas coming that way. We're supposed to get snow up here some time this evening. As my late Uncle Eddie used to say(about snow coming), "Bite your tongue!"
The layout is great. I wish my parents were still in Charlotte so I could see it.
Totally random question. What's the yellow and red flag on the wall between the US flag and the Texas flag at the -20 seconds mark?

Darcie,
We are in Fort Mill, SC just south of Charlotte, NC through the Thanksgiving weekend. 300 South Tryon appears to be a new hi-rise office building in Charlotte. Is that where the layout is going?
If so, when will it be open?
Thanks,
Alan
That is an outstanding looking layout, would really love to see it in person. Best snow I've ever seen on a layout. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
