Big Steam Curves

I currently have a 3rd Rail DM&IR Yellowstone, which as never been out of the box, and will hopefully someday have a Big Boy. So in playing around on RR Track software, what radii should I use to be on the safe side? I use the rule of thumb that you should double the radius from 3 rail to 2 rail so if a 3 rail Big Boy needs 36" radius (O72), then a 2 rail equivalent should need a 72" radius (O144). Am I safe in this assumption or should the radii be bigger?

Tim,

The DSMR has nominal 72" radius curves. The only loco we were not able to run was the USH ATSF 2-10-4. All other locos we have tried will go around them.
