I am half way thru the Biography of Calvin Coolidge by Amity Shlaes, when on Page
220 I am taken completely by surprise to read that Grace Collidge wife of Silent Cal
is on the living room floor putting track together for her two sons, who play with
miniature trains.
The passage does not say if these miniature trains are Lionel, Ives, or American
Flyer. But it tells me the two sons of Silent Cal and Grace are two youngster's I
like. What could be better than the passage of 94 years, and the love of toy trains
from that time, till now.
I just found this example of kids being kids long before I was born (My father was
one year old in 1921) Silent Cal was Vice President at the time, fantastic.
Many thanks,
Billy C
