I am trying to check on the fuses in my TIU. Can someone help me identify the blade type fuses discussed in Barry's book on page 154. Thanks,

There are four of them, one for each channel. They should have a yellow plastic top with the number 20 on them. They are automotive type fuses.

The fuses are are not my problem. I just tested them. I am not getting power to the TIU. I have an external power source and the light does not come on. Any ideas.

How are you trying to power it, through the Aux In plug or through FXD 1 input, and what are you using to power it?

Try power to fixed 1 instead of the aux power supply. Don't forget to completely remove the aux power jack from the tiu . ... just unplugging the wall adapter with the jack still plugged into the tiu leaves the tiu in a dead state.

If you're using an MTH brick into Aux. Power, make certain that the brick's breaker isn't tripped.

The external power source is a Radio Shack 18/24 (set to 18) model. I tried using just my Z4000 transformer into FXD1 with out the Radio shack thing. Neither gave power.
