We have a WP F-7 set number 6-34513 that the cab light started blinking when the power is turned on the track. Also the smoke unit stopped working. The engine runs great, headlight and backup light works, sound also works. We reprogramming to restore the features and cab light still blinks.
Is there anything else we can try?

Try turning off the smoke unit. If the blinking stops then you know it's the smoke unit most likely the fan motor.

What pattern is it blinking? If it's the smoke fan, it would be three blinks.
The blinking is constant from the time there is power on the track to when you turn off the power
That's an early Legacy that doesn't have diagnostic blinking, so I'm thinking it's simply programmed incorrectly.
I believe Rod is correct. Do what he stated then do the reprogram that John outlined.
I have run into this and the cause was the heater making slight contact with the wall of the smoke bowl. The check for this is take your continuity meter and put one probe on any heater pad on the PCB then put the other on the bowl. If you have continuity, that is your problem.
We turned off the smoke unit and the light stopped blinking. So the problem is the smoke unit.
