Over the past 15 years I have been there many times with my kids. Doug Andre, a member of this forum, has been a member of the club for years. Here a link to the article and video.
Sad. They have their big meet every year on July fourth . All the folks around here go and they give free rides. I used to take my kids down there when they were very little. Our family farm is only about a mile across the road from it. The old man that gave the club it's new location after the flood of 85 by donating the land was in poor health and died several years after they moved. At that time they had about 750 feet of track but he loved to see the steam engines. The land sits in kind of a dell with a long steep hill on one side and a creek on the other. We had very heavy rains last week on already saturated ground. As far as donations the only thing I see is their Yahoo group site . You may contact them there if you want to make donations.. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/blueridgelivesteamers/
