Well in my desperate search for an MTH BR44 I finally contacted and received an answer from Lenz. I stated that I knew that they had purchased some of MTH’s European tooling. I then asked if they had plans for reintroducing the BR44 in 3 rail. Mr. Thorsten Gradl from Lenz told me that they had no plans to do so. Case closed. I guess I will continue my Sisyphus search on eBay and auctions. First things first, I’ll put a post up on OGR’s WTB forum!

This is really unfortunate. 
All of the MTH European steam offerings are on my list to collect. They are really beautiful models.
