I searched to see if this was already covered, but I guess I didn't do it right.  So if this has been talked about, just refer me to the recent thread and my apologies.

I set my accel rate and decel rate to 1.  I like using the Boost side of the button as a throttle.  I know, quickset, type 10, click once, you're going 10 smph.  Not the point.

Dialing up the selector wheel has caused the runaway train issue I read about and added my 2 cents worth to a few minutes ago.

When I use the Boost or Brake side of the button, my acceleration rate dials up by 1 as it is supposed to do.  Not so fast Johnson.  After 3 individual ticks of the speed clock, it jumps to and accel rate of 2 and stays there all the way to 60, which by the way is my max speed setting.  Example.  I'm going 10 smph.  Boost button pressed and held.  11-12-13-15-17-19-21 etc etc etc etc 60.

I've read everything I have on the DCS system and it doesn't say anything about an accel or decel rate of 1 suddenly programmed to jump to 2 after every 3 speed changes.  I can stop the by 2 jump by simply stopping a second, then pressing the button again, and now it increases by 1....until that third tick, and back to a setting of 2 we go again.  It never jumps to 3 or 4 or 5, just hangs in at 2 until I stop increasing or decreasing speed or I reach 60 or 0.

Any thoughts

Thanks

Understand completely.  But still find it odd that a setting of 1 seems to disinterest the program and it decides "2 is better, I like 2, so 2 it is."  And it holds a increment setting of 2 without fail, but can only hold a setting of 1 for 3 ticks.  Just another odd thing DCS does without any sort of explanation.  Like runaway engines, which is a thread I replied to before I started this one.  Thanks for the thought.
