I received my copy of Lionel Trains O Gauge Volume 2: 1929-1936 a few days ago and what a magnificent work it is!  The color photos are wonderful and, as usual, the text accompanying them provides great explanation/documentation of the piece.  I cannot recommend in any stronger terms that every Lionel Prewar collector or enthusiast should have a copy.  The wealth of knowledge in this book will make even the novice collector an expert.  I bought mine through Brinkmannpub.com as no dealers in this area have it.

The only down side is now several pieces I had not planned on acquiring are now on my "Want List"!

When Bruce publishes a book, he does as thorough a job as possible to make it a truly comprehensive, informative, and entertaining reference. I have the new volume sitting on the coffee table behind me as I'm writing this post, and for the student of Lionel history (I'm one myself), I recommend this book in the highest possible terms.

The amount of work that goes into these is astounding. Thank you for your comment Allan. Ill pass it on to Bruce.  The Volume III book is already under way. Oodles of work for the final book in this series.

For more coffee table jewelry, look into the new book by Alan Schuweiler and Fritz vonTagen on American Flyer Wide Gauge. Another superb penning.
