Check out the builder's plate on the new Lionel Legacy New York Central Alco PA

Details like that are really impressive.
The Weaver Baldwin BP20 also had the builder plates.
Very nice Mike!
The date seems odd. 1970??? Can't be 1990?? Were the Baldwin BP20's still in service 1970??
I have both those original plates. The Alco plate was from a PRR RS11 later Penn Central. I’m not sure what engine the 5 sided Baldwin plate was from.
Just an FYI, details like that can be purchased separately from O scale brass detailer sources.
As good as they look, they are nothing else than molded in with a decal on top. 3rd Rail did make etched builders plate in their more accurate Alco PA
This is the builder’s plate on an older MTH New Haven ALCO DL-109 model with PS-2, probably 15 years old. #71446 - May 1940 seems correct. I will photograph the Sunset/3rd Rail ALCO PA-1 and post later.

Shown below are two photographs of my recent Sunset/3rd Rail ALCO PA-1 and its builder’s plate - #78579 – April 195X. A very fine detail but of similar quality to the MTH DL-109 in my opinion.

Very nice, MELGAR! Also no high water pants!
Here are two pictures of my MTH ALCO PA-1 and its builder’s plate - #75318 – May 1947. This is also an older model with PS-2. It has the most legible builder’s plate of the ones I have photographed but I think that’s more a function of the photograph quality and focus rather than the model’s graphics. The only way I’m able to read any of these builder’s plates is by zooming in to the photograph. I can’t read them by looking at the models.
