I was looking for an easy alternative for building fronts that I could use on my shelf/wall layout. I came across houses and accessories from Sheil'a Collectibles. They are wooden historic buildings only an 1" or so thick, and in a huge variety of shapes and sizes. They are not very expensive and can be found on the typical auction sites. Here are some quick pics of how I plan on using them.

Nice buildings!1 they suit the space very well. You might want to consider placing some greenery for the illusion of a hill. Simply get some 1/2 foam insulation board shape the top to look like a hilly terrain then add on some clump foliage. please post some more pictures as this progresses
ALSO Not sure if you attend the YORK train meets. If you do there is guy in the Blue or Silver hall that always comes with lots of buildings painted onto wood and would fit nicely on your shelf RR
Those are very cool looking buildings!!! Great find they really add a nice look to your track work.
