I have a k-Line Starlite Diner. One of the bulbs in the sign has burned out. They are in a parallel circuit soldered onto a printed circuit board. There are no markings on the bulbs. Does anyone know the type & specifications for a replacement bulb? I believe they are GOW bulbs. (See picture below)

Thank you,

Ron

I can't speak to replacement bulbs, but the entire assembly is available from Lionel (they re-issued the diner maybe 10 years ago.) You could potentially harvest some bulbs from this or just do a straight swap.

If you're looking for a slightly bigger project, adding an LED strip shouldn't be much trouble.

Just a guess, but an 18v grain of wheat bulb should work.

More than likely a guess might "work" but the intensity would likely be at least slightly different, with the new bulb being the odd man out, leading to uneven lighting across the sign.  This may, or may not, be important to the OP.

If it is, I'm with @Alex M on this one.  Try Lionel's board assembly.

Did you mean Alex W? Or am I missing something?
