The National Capital Trackers have a few busy weekends ahead. Next weekend, Labor Day Weekend, we will be at the College Park Aviation Museum, College Park MD. We run Saturday - Monday. This is a great museum, lots of fun for the kids. Great museum. This is the oldest continuously operational airport in the world. I'm one of the organizers for this show and we have a fun weekend planned.
The following weekend 9/12-9/13 we will be at the Kensington, MD town hall with a large over and under layout. We share this with the local N-Trak club, another great group of guys. There are historic displays, live music, etc. Great fun. All proceeds go to support the Noyes Children's Library.
This kicks off the "busy season." For our entire schedule through the end of the year, please see HERE
Of course, if anyone in the Washington DC Metro area has any interest in joining the Trackers, we would love to have you. Please see our WEBSITE for more info
A few photos from College Park
Also at Kensington, I'll have my "Intro to O Gauge Trains" poster display which was highly successful at it's first appearance last year at another venue. This is a great way to promote the hobby and Kensington's display is full of young families and kids. In the trunk of my car are about 10 cases of MTH and Lionel RTR and Signature catalogs. I expect all of them to be gone just like the previous event I did this at.
