There is indeed a fuse, I replace them with a 2A Hold PTC so I never have to crack the power supply again.
Learn something new, again. I had to look that up to see exactly what a PTC fuse was. After finding the white paper on it, now I know.
That transformer is a perfect application for the PTC. When I was developing the TMCC Buffer, I had a earth ground cable that taps into the command base power for the ground connection that was shorted. It took out a couple of the power brick fuses before I figured out what was happening, so when I opened them up, I decided to that I wasn't going to risk having to go in there again.
