No problem, if it is the #992 base shown below with the #991 cab-2 (together they make the #990 set) like I said that is the correct power supply. There have been reports on occasion there is a fuse inside the power supply that can be replaced.

There is indeed a fuse, I replace them with a 2A Hold PTC so I never have to crack the power supply again.

That transformer is a perfect application for the PTC.  When I was developing the TMCC Buffer, I had a earth ground cable that taps into the command base power for the ground connection that was shorted.  It took out a couple of the power brick fuses before I figured out what was happening, so when I opened them up, I decided to that I wasn't going to risk having to go in there again.
