This has been sitting on a siding of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail for a month or so now. Looks a little strange just sitting there. Can anyone ID it? I'm curious.

Thats an old NJ Transit PCC Streetcar (PCC-President Conference Committee) that used to run on the old Newark City Subway. Now replaced by Light Rail.
Prior to the current economic difficulties, there was a grand scheme to develop the former Military Ocean Terminal in Bayonne for shopping, residential and entertainment purposes. One element of the plan was to be a trolley line through the area which would connect with the southern end of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Line. The service was to be operated using the former Newark City Subway PCC cars. Unfortunately, then came the fiscal crisis, no one had money and there the cars sit.

Thanks everyone.
Wednesday night I was walking around the club layout and in the passenger station area I saw a NJ Transit PCC. I picked it up and it's match for the one in the photo, except the photo one is #24 and the layout one is #22. Very cool.
PCC cars are awesome We drove one when we went to the Trolley museum in Connecticut. Weird when all you have is a throttle and brake pedal You don't know what to do with your hands LOL
Car 6 from the Newark City Subway is now at the Rockhill Trolley Museum in Rockhill Furnace, PA. The car was repainted in historically accurate Public Service colors by NJ Transit preparatory to the retirement of the cars in 2001.
Here it is pictured with the SEPTA 2743:
