A few pictures of my New York central passenger train.

Wow. I have plenty of NYC stuff. I went to find a good video of them. Nothing? I've got videos of the 2 Dreyfus Hudsons, The NYC Niagara, and even some passenger stuff. Nothing all NYC? I have enough cars to make the 20th Century LTD and a few more?
I'd better get down there and put the right stuff together. Here's an Amtrak with some stainless NYC cars for now.
I think our grandson wanted to run freight trains only and we took all the pass stuff off of the rails!
This should be a great thread. Love the Commodore Vanderbilt and Hudson freight. Hudsons pulling freight on the NYC wasn't all that unheard of.
Here we go. I threw together a quick video.
Joe,
Very nice videos Joe, love those Dreyfus Hudson's and passenger cars.

From the first time I saw that black/gray locomotive in the front of the 1955 Lionel catalog I wanted one. Many Santa-Fe's later still no NYC. One year ago when I went looking for my first talking train what jumped up was a beautiful NYC set with detailed passenger cars. I enjoy looking at it as much as running it. Azgary

This New York Central passenger train is made up of fifteen-year-old equipment. The locomotive is a "lightning stripe" P2b electric #223 made by MTH with PS1 electronics and a BCR. These locomotives originally ran on 3000-volt DC at Cleveland Union Terminal and were later brought to New York City and Grand Central Terminal where they were converted to run on 660 volts DC. The passenger cars are an MTH Premier Madison set.

The NYC has quickly become my favorite set of engines to run.
Since getting into O scale, I have become a NYC fan!

I did this about 4 or 5 years ago. I lived in Columbia, S.C. then. Both PA1 had to be ran in forward direction. They would jump the track in reverse for some reason. I originally had it A-B-B-A as both A units where power units.
I have also add people to the cars since this.
Love all the photos and videos so far! Lots of variety.
The Niagara has to be by far my favorite steam locomotive. The unfortunate thing is a 3 rail version of the S2a was never made. Would have been cool to see a 3 rail Niagara with Franklin poppet valves.

Lionel’s J-3a #5444 on point of the ‘Limited’. The Stationsounds diner adds some extra effect in leaving the station.
