I decided to add a coach light to my MTH switch tower in a corner of my layout.

I first installed it about an inch too low IMO and changed my mind and removed it and re-installed where it is now.

When removing the light, I marred the surface of the building and found this nice little part to cover my sloppy mistake and use as an address or door sign.

Can you guess where it came from?

@Zeke13 Correct! LOL, it has been sitting in a little cup on my workbench for a couple of years together with other misplaced stuff. When I packed up my grandson’s trains a couple of years ago, I found the switch controller part on the floor after his Dad carried the heavy box up the ladder and put it in storage in their attic. No way to get in back in the box! Grandson is now 17 and school, sports and girls have taken over! Maybe 15 or so years from now he will spot the box of trains (all conventional Lionel and RMT stuff) and the little light will go off above his head and out the trains will come for many years of additional enjoyment….Maybe…

Stangtrain, your coach light looks great. I thought I'd share a kitbashed light that I added to one of my switch towers. I used a discarded part from a laser printer overhaul for the lamp shade, and a grain of wheat bulb for the light. IMG_2607

As a side note when taking the train to DC I noticed men's names on switch towers. I commented about it to my son who is an engineer. He told me that some RRS would name the tower after the man that designed the interlocking. So I named this one after him.
