The C&O GP7s in the 5700 series....Anyone know where I can get "as built" or close photos? Have a model of the 5711, and want to get it set up correctly for the early to mid '50s. All my books are packed up so I can't look it up. Seems to me that at least some of these were Canadian built, and maybe associated with the PM. Did this bunch have winterization hatches, and where were the horns? Thanks, gents !

Google "C&O GP7" there's a bunch online.

Here's one in the 5800 series that I took in Charlottesville, VA circa 1966. Blue with yellow strips and lettering.

And another last year, without lettering yet. This is at the C&O Historical Society, Clifton Forge, VA.

I wound up with a bunch of info on the Atlas rescue forum. Seems the real C&O 5711 is a might strange critter indeed. Thanks for the photos, especially the unnumbered GEEP in C&O original style paint! Thank the Father, nobody chopped the nose on that unit!
Will do, Webmaster. Was unaware of "link tool." Sorry.
