I have a pair of SS plastic RDC1s, one powered by the Canon in-truck drives, one non-powered. I have been wanting to experiment with putting a pair of these in-truck drives in a pair of “shorty” MTH RDCs (now powered by a P&D chain drive which is pretty noisy on curves). I have tried repeatedly to purchase these in-truck drives from Sunset but am always told that they don’t have any spares to sell. Seems to me when you have something this good and/or unique, you might consider offering them as separate items...no? Or is that just too much common sense for importers? I also have one of the earlier SS RDC1s in plated brass sitting in my display cabinet, but these do not have the more recent in-truck drives.

And while I’m at it, if anyone has two pair of *SCALE* Budd RDC truck sideframes (or trucks) they don’t need... I’m interested : )

Would be interested in seeing a picture of this drive; thanks!
