I ordered the 2026960 Santa Fe vision 3-pack yesterday from Trainworld and used coupon code ORA21 in the comment box to get 10% off - located on page 72 in the ORG magazine (Aug-Sept) . I received the invoice this morning with no discount. This item was in stock (7 left according to website) I did not pre-order this item. Called Trainworld a few minutes ago and they said this coupon is not valid. It expires September 15 2021 and is good for purchases over $100.00 for a 10% discount - I love Trainworld but be careful to check out this coupon before you purchase something. Not mad but just an FYI.

According to my calendar, September 15, 2021 has not yet occurred.
Was the coupon from the other Trainworld?
And....you are over the $100 threshold ......?
Yes over $100.00 - I'm not mad I just wanted to pass along info to others. Bigger things in life to worry about - take care -
Right, so if all the conditions were met, why is the coupon invalid?
Often the coupons or discounts are not good for new releases. The website says they are classified as new releases for 90 days after first received; these were received just under a month ago. I don't have the coupon in front of me; just suggesting that could be why.

coupons are so very tricky! buyer beware.
The coupon code has S in it between the A and the 2. Did you take it wrong in the form or also on the web order? ORAS21 not ORA21
It's low class to reject the coupon without telling you it was rejected, that's not right.

This. It's a new release and marked as such on product page.
I had the same thing happen 4 months ago. Not a preorder and over $100.00. I did not call them because it was after I received the item but I will not order from them again. There are lots of other businesses that give a discount and free shipping.
Years ago I purchased a Legacy steamer at a 20% off sale from a reputable dealer. The sale was advertised through an e mail. I had previously bought something from them. I want to say the sale started at 7 pm on a Sunday night and ran through the Monday holiday. I looked through the listings and decided to pull the trigger on one. It was about 7:30 when I finished looking. I went through the purchase and completed it but there was no mention of the discount. It finally dawned on me I bought it before the sale started. I’m on eastern time and the store was in the Midwest.
It was an older stock engine and after I contacted them they were very understanding an it all worked out. The engine was a Legacy Mike I was going to re letter. They had 2 listed. The next sale I ended up buying the other one.

I have used the TrainWorld coupon with success. In May I bought the Lionel LionChief Plus 2.0 New York Central F3 AA locomotives for 649.95. The coupon took it to 584.95+16.99 shipping. Maybe the item you purchased was already reduced.
I just checked the item on TrainWorld. This item is considered new as it was released for sale within the past 30 days. I believe the coupon excludes new items. I have only used the coupon on products that have been available for sale for a few months.

This is why I've never liked Trainworld's method of entering the discount - it's not clear whether or not it has been accepted and applied. Retailers should use technology to immediately accept or reject a discount code if it's entered incorrectly or used on a product to which it does not apply. I thought that they had fixed this with their latest website update, but apparently not. Has this been mentioned to Trainworld, such as to @TrainWorld.com?
I'm not trying to be a smart***. How about just call them the old fashioned way, phone.
They are good to deal with IMHO.

Please consider running this concern by the folks in a position to correct a misunderstanding.
Running this up a public flagpole may be cathartic but IMO it is not playing nice.
A while ago I purchased an Erie dummy B unit which arrived with a broken truck from Trainworld.
After numerous telephone calls, double talk and rudeness I gave up.
I never have and never will order from them again.
