Wow how can they do that! I thought the cutoff was several weeks ago... As a few days after receiving the free catalog from Charles Ro.
The "Built To Order" deadline for New 2017 Lionel catalogs was March 1st.

Where's the problem? You got free catalogs and you still have time to place an order.

Hmm, no catalogs yet here, must not have bought enough stuff last year.

Exactly... Charlie's actually giving folks an extra month beyond Lionel's March 1st BTO deadline to place a pre-order at a decent price -- probably based on the "extra" quantities Charlie ordered. After the early-buy deadline, prices bump up slightly.
