Last year, I took advantage of geography and shot some trains in some of the last areas to see the leaves change each fall. On this November 2023 day, after working industries in Federalsburg, the crew was forced to run in reverse the entire way to the DCR interchange in Seaford; DCR was upgrading the yard tracks, and the normal runaround was out-of-service. While not a particularly long day, as the crew said, between the shove move and "seeing" the crew work Amazon for the first time, it was far from a boring day.

That Alco RS-3 has been repowered with an EMD prime mover. You can tell by the sound. Also, the Alco 244 engine had only a single exhaust stack.

That old 244 engine was not one of Alco’s better designs.
