Well..this is the 2016 layout.. WHOVILLE is on the left and the North Pole to the right. The dinner I repainted and it "smokes" very cool. Trolley goes around the tree but I will be changing it out with my other engines.. The only problem I have its that the "light" on my MTH North Pole tower does not work. I took it apart to find a circuit board. Not a clue what that is all about.. Merry Christmas to you all>>> Doug and Annie Baynes

Looks really , really cool. Did you do that yourself? If so I'm impressed!
As for the trolley please leave in there. I always had one on every Christmas layout I ever built. I guess I always felt a Trolley gives the scene a sense of balance to the eye.
In any case it looks great and make it please your eye.
Good Work!
Yes ...I did build it all. The mountains took the most time as well as the painting and flocking of them...Moonman was a great help in the track design. Yes the Trolley does add a nice touch..
Setup looks great. Merry Christmas.
Looks great, nice job with it all. I also like the North Pole RS-3 (I think it is?), nice looking engine and paint scheme. Is it MTH or Lionel?
Looks great! A fun, well balanced design! Merry Christmas!
Hi Dougie
Your Layout looks great !
I also have the same LIONEL Rs-3 as you. The passenger cars are cool. I had to pass at the time they came out .
Its a Lionel engine and I have the matching Caboose.
Nice Job. Merry Christmas to you & your family.
Very cool layout!

Very Fresh, Dougie! . What did you use for the base?
Rick
Nice job! Any plans for a permanent lay-out, sure will be great, good start!
Thanks, that's a nice looking Christmas train.
Looks good Doug!
I like the height of the base. Next year I will copy that idea.
Grear idea with the two themes. Good job.
Nicely done!!

The base is 3 4x4 half inch plywood with 1 inch blue foam glued to it. Under each is 9 2x2 8inch tall legs that are screwed in...

Dougie,
The change in the scenery theme is well done! I like that the elevation is just enough to show that it's elevated. I didn't visualize the two area result. Very nice.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
In case anyone is wondering, he starts in July with a new idea. He's my Christmas layout alert. Forum member scolba just pulled one off in about 6 weeks. He admitted it was not enough time to enjoy the process.
