Just got the very nice looking Lionel diner for the layout. Chuckled at the instructions pertaining to light bulbs. Paraphrased:

Due to the complexity of this assembly, it is suggested having your authorized Lionel service station change the [incandescent] bulbs.

Hmm, why not warm white LEDS? Of course, doesn't matter as none of the buildings are lit anyway, as we keep re-arranging buildings.

And really, I counted I think eight Philips screws.

Oh well.....

Ha! We aren't supposed to do basic repairs on our trains any more? The nanny state ...

CYA I suppose. We work on them and then break them and then whine that the manufacturer didn't warn us.
