Circus trains are a favorite
and this is a terrific looking train, well detailed
can you tell us a little about the make or origin?
Thanks for sharing the photos.
Thank you Charlie.
This is a circus train I have been working on for about 10 year on my spare time. I have built it from kits and scratchbuilt. These are not the real flatcar for my circus. I have built 8 flatcars 18 inches ( 72 feets). I'm in the process of building the last 25 circus wagon of about 60. I have built also Elephant and horse train cars.

Jacques what a fantastic circus train you putting together. Hard to pick a favorite, guess the elephant car and the tent and pole wagons. Keep us posted with your progress.

Charlie, I know The Gemcity products located in Baraboo, Wisconsin ( home of the Circus world Museum. I saw their circus tents ans I hesitate before buying those because it would propel me into building a whole circus lot diorama... When I'm just starting my permanent layout.
Would love to go to the Circus World museum where more than 200 Circus wagons are preserved with circus train cars and all the documentation of their library.

On the second floor of the VA Museum of Transportation there is a large, very nice, and detailed miniature circus layout. I'm not sure if it's permanent - I got the impression that it might be on loan.
Hi Folks,
Here are a few photos that I took of the circus display at the VA Transportation Museum in July 2010. The display is O scale. Note all of the people in the stands.
