Bought an American flyer 750 (?) bridge, blue metallic with small yellow lit tin house on top.

could not resist for $10. I like bridges and will add it to the postwar O Gage type layout I am rebuilding.

Note: its not in too bad a shape, but needs a good cleaning, not restoration but removing dirt and possibly shining it up a bit are truly a mystery.

Any advice well taken.

Thanks, Leroof.

Baby wipes and feminine hygiene products have been as great for the plumbing business as they are for Johnson&Johnson.

I wouldn't use a baby wipe on or around some cracks in, or early paints. They have an oil (mineral oil) and oils can penetrate into, &/or under paint and lift or degrade it.  Soap and water is always safest.  Drying fast is key. A towel, then a hairdrier is my usual method.

I think I have that bridge. There is a light in the house on some, and a decal on the bridgehouse. Wire clasping tabs on the beams.  If there is a deck decal, mine is long gone. The roof and bridgehouse are nearly the same as the crane cab's. The crane roof has a smokestack though. I replaced my missing roof with a crane's.

Can anyone take & postpo photo of the deck decal?
