I wish to make a factory lettered for an old coal stoker company by the name of Iron Fireman. They had a plant years ago in Cleveland. Can anyone out there help me with a picture of the water tower that had their robot logo on the tower. I heard from one source years ago for the longest time you could see the plant from the freeway.  I can't post a picture of what the robot logo looks like, as the system on the forum won't let me for some reason...it did before!

THANKS for your help.

Jeff

Just go to Google Images and type in Iron Fireman.  I remember Tool-Die Engineering in Solon Ohio used a lot of those.

THANKS Nick! I must be doing something wrong as I can't find your e-mail address. My e-mail is GNX582@CenturyTel.net if you care to start things going from your direction first.  Jeff

Sounds good so far. I corresponded with a person a bunch of years ago, and he said you could see the tower from the freeway. I am very interested in this Company, and have a number of things from the Company. That is why I would like to do a rendition of it on my layout. I heard they had a water tower on site. I do not know if it was a smallish one, like on the top of a building; or if it is a large free standing tower like a Lionel #193. I am hoping it is a larger tower, so I can put the Iron Fireman Logo on the new version of the 193. Would be interesting to find more info from an old timer. Thanks!

I may very well have this plate, but I never want to say one way or the other, until I see a photo. I have a couple of furnace nameplates; a clock; playing cards; versions of their ashtrays; but I heard they made a floor standing ashtray that I have never seen; large porcleain sign, brochures, etc.; pins; badge; good luck coins; tie bar etc.  Jeff
