Tomas,
Is the clicking sound fast? If it is, there is a good chance the relay is bad and they tought to get off the bottom board. At that point it's just better to replace the board. Hopefully nothing happened to the top board. I had one like this not to long ago. Best thing would be have someone check it out.

no the clicking is normal
Hello Tomas,
I think you'll get more ideas if you provide more detail about the clicking and your setup.
Are you sure the clicking is from the relay? How long does it last? Does it depend on track voltage? Is this DCS or conventional? Does it click on your main line or just on your test track? Does the engine operate otherwise?
Tomas,
Do you know that every PS2 engine"clicks" once after power is applied and it sees the watchdog signal? Is the engine clicking more often than just once when it receives track power?
If not, there's nothing wrong at all.
Tomas,
So the problem isn't that the engine constantly clicks, rather, it "click-clicks" normally at power up but 30 seconds later it clicks again and shuts down. Is this correct?
If the above is correct, does it do this if you just start it up and leave it standing still or do you have to start it moving for this to happen?
Tomas,
So it happens if you just start it up and leave it alone, and then it clicks and shuts itself off. Does rack power also shut down?
Does this happen with any other PS2 engines?
It sounds like it's time to take it to the repair center that fixed your remote.
