If the commons on all layouts are tied. You can connect the command wire anywhere on one of the layouts.
If the commons are separate. Each one will need it's own command base wire connection. Individual wire , or in series makes no difference. Just do whichever is easier for your setup.
Adding to what Rick says, the Commons from each PowerHouse 180 should be phased. If they are are all from the same batch, they likely already are in phase. If any of them are an early model, some had reversed polarity.
Best to check phasing before connecting them all together with the Base command signal connections.
