Thought this may be of interest. Imagine using a paint pen to wire your layout, ect:

 

London-based Bare Conductive Ltd. makes electrically conductive paint called Bare Paint. The substance allows the painting of "liquid wiring" on any surface. Except for skin, you can apply its paint on walls and assorted surfaces to conduct electricity.  Available in both paint cans or paint pens

I've also heard of its use in repairing rear window defoggers in the case one of the lines was scratched and the electrical tie broken.

 

I have several like that on my older tahoe from years of packing it to the gills for vacations.  Never thought of its application in my hobbies though.  Yes, limited to only very low voltage, amperage.  Could successive layers built up carry more current?
