I have both conventional engines and a TMCC steam engine I run with the Legacy 990 command system. I recently had a failure of my CW80. My current layout used the CW80 for power, a Power Master for conventional control, and the Legacy 990 for remote control of both.

Rather than replacing the CW80, I am thinking of a Power House 135 or 180 to power the layout.

1. Can I just replace the transformer with the block, or is it more complicated than that. How reliable are the Power House blocks? I understand the blocks also have a circuit breaker.

2. What are the "Pro's" and "Con's" of either approach?
