that engine #2347 has the nice shade of blue on it, i LIKE that blue. the set looks like mint in the box postwar !!! I wished lionel can make a 1966 version of the 2383 set in PWC and NO electronics but just a electronic horn only and E-units, metal gears. i love that #6437, 6414 and #6464-735 as that was part of the 2383 set i had back in 1968.

I agree - It looks like it just came out of the original Postwar box. Looks like they got the coloring just right!

Rob, It runs pretty well. Only 2 issues I had - couplers on some of the cars & the front of the engine wouldn't stay closed, but rubber bands fixed that. Second issue was the milk car didn't work, sent it back to Lionel twice and they made it right. Im pretty happy with it. One thing to note - it was posted by someone else a while back - the way they pack the auto loader, you need to take off the top level to get the cars out of the lower.
