The change is remarkable in my opinion.
Considering that Atlas engines are detailed and well constructed coupled with the facts (1) that neither Lionel or MTH recently produced a scale C628 in L&N; (2) TMCC is not upgradable to Legacy; and (3) TMCC sound files generally are not the same standard as MTH Premier or Lionel Legacy, I was left with the decision to upgrade an engine with the desired livery or sell old and buy new and have Jeff Sohn repaint to L&N. I opted for the upgrade. The cost was $325 and included upgrading the signal lights, modify the smoke unit to match engine exertion, upgrade the capacitor pack, and scale speed matching. Notwithstanding the sunk cost of the original purchase, I have a detailed C628 in the desired road name with a high performance command control system for $325. I'll take it!
