converting a Lionel mpc sound of steam tender

I just got a Lionel mpc Blue Comet engine and tender is C8 condition. The engine runs well So the tender with its sound of steam is shot. I think instead of doing an electronic sound system ,plus the tender chassis and trucks are all cheap quality. The engine deserves better Rather than do an electronic sound system, I'm going to build a 2671 chassis with 6 wheel trucks which I already have as parts with a post war whistle which sounds far better than the sound of steam. I can give up the chuffing especially since the sound of steam chuffing sounds like a grasshopper spitting in the grass
