For those who own the 2017 Lionel Green Loco Passenger Set, have you found the couplers on the passenger cars to be compatible with other Lionel and similar locos?    In this regard, I was wondering if these passenger cars could be used easily with other locos without making modifications to them.  Similarly, are the locos easily compatible with other o gauge rolling stock, or is there a coupler height differential that is problematic?

Since more than a year has passed since their original delivery from Lionel, I presume Forum Members now have more experience operating this set.

Thank you.

There is no issue with the coupler heights. There is no noticeable differential, so they can be used with other equipment.

The main problem is that the entire locomotive's chassis was hastily jacked up about a 1/4" as part of Lionel's frenetic quest to convert everything from expensive Pullmors to cheap can motors. Consequently, the couplers are no longer centered vertically where they pass through the apron holes. In fact, the couplers are almost touching, or scraping the bottom of the apron. The whole arrangement looks silly and the locos are now higher than the cars.
