If this is the Lionel crane kit, I will try looking for the directions. In the meantime, maybe this will help.

I realize it's not the crane, but the pulley at the rear looks similar.

that's the kit, and I have those instructions, no help. maybe the PH crane would help but I don't have those instructions.
