Gd Afternoon Members: While still in the learning stages of railroading, I've picked up 3 Lionel LionMasters with TMCC; a SP Cab Fwd, a Pennsylvania T1 Duplex and a UP Challenger. I've come to notice that all three locomotives have clear and crisp TowerComm sounds but on the Challenger and the Pennsy T1, the Crew Talk is extremely garbled, and you have no idea what was said. I took this up as being a situation where CrewTalk with TMCC was in Lionel's primitive stage and this inaudible noise was corrected, clarified and enhanced when Legacy's CrewTalk and TowerComm came to the forfront. Is there anyone else out there with this same situation or do I need to check with Lionel as to what the problem is and how to fix it. THANKS as always - MARSHELANGELO

TMCC engine before RS5 had "un-Intelligible" crew talk. Tower comm was always a clear call out.
Dang spell check I meant unintelligible.
Railsounds 5.0 touted "new intelligible crewtalk". Anything before that the crew talk and tower comm may or may not have been good enough to determine what was being said.
The original TMCC "unintelligible crew talk" left the exact nature of the engineer's reply to the imagination of the operator. You are hearing the sound that was intended. In later era-product, an increase in available sound memory made intelligible crew talk practical.

Thanks Everyone, for a minute there I thought I was the only one who didn't know what the hell they were saying and I started to wonder if it was worth taking in 2 LionMasters for some trivial repair
Well...the question has to be asked. If the crew talk was unintelligible, why did they bother doing it?
Because for many, it added play value to the experience.

That's right, even though crew talk is pure fantasy, its nice to have a little more action with these as they go around the table. Keeps the kid's attention up...
